Honey & Hive Ice Cream Team Leaders are part-time crew members who lead shifts.
In addition to leading shifts, they scoop and serve ice cream to our customers, make waffle products, sundaes, milkshakes, run the register with cash management responsibilities, keep the shop clean, change out buckets of ice cream, and perform several other important, related tasks.
Team Leaders also creates a welcoming environment by greeting customers, being patient, kind and providing a positive experience to customers.

Essential Functions:
Guest Engagement.
Scoopers must constantly interact with guests while they wait in line, when they enter the shop, when getting their ice cream, at the registers and when they exit the premises.
Flavor Host:
Offer up flavor suggestions for guests by providing them with menu items or flavor ingredient answers.
Scoop the perfect scoop for our guests.
Scooping ice cream for up to 8 hours, multiple times per shift.
Cash handling.
Being able to accurately ring-up a purchase, operate our POS and registers.
Be able to receive cash and give the accurate amount back.
Make waffle cones.
Mix batter, label batter, store batter, make cones with waffle iron, store cones, label cones, keep station clean as it is in the front of the house, open and close station.
Follow shop standards and maintain shop cleanliness.
This can include washing dishes, constructing and serving products according to recipes and/or service specs, cleaning facilities (floors, walls, bathrooms, freezers), uphold organization standards, put away orders according to standards and product maps.
Restock the shop supplies.
Scoopers restock retail, pull tubs to temper, restock the pint freezer, restock paper goods, restock cones, waffle batter, spoons, etc.
multiple times a shift.
Consolidate tubs of ice cream and replenish from the walk-in freezer.
Pack online orders and ensure we are packing or scooping the correct order.
Promptly answer the phones and give excellent customer service over the phone.
Line host.
Greet guests, redirect the line, answer questions, explain different ways to experience our shop, encourage ordering online, skip the line to buy pints, etc.
Float.
This is a combination of responsibilities (dishes, lobby cleaning, restocking, etc.
) that aid in ensuring that those in the scooping rotation always have what they need to continue scooping.
Tasting/sampling a scoop of ice cream daily (including, when possible, different flavors of ice cream, including flavors that might not be the Team Member's personal preference), to be able to better communicate to customers why they might enjoy each flavor.
We are open 7 days a week, Monday-Sunday from between 1pm-9pm.
Hours will vary depending on the season.
We do our best to balance opening and closing shifts for all team members so that everyone has a nice blend of several different activities and responsibilities of the day.
Job Qualifications - Please read thoroughly before applying:
Perform a variety of duties including scooping ice cream, handling cash, baking, cleaning, and maintaining excellent customer service.
Physical aspects of the job include oversize merchandise handling, bulk containers of ice cream weighing up to 15 pounds, supply orders, general cleaning, and maintenance, and standing for up to 5 hours per day.
Must be able to work 1 weekend day every week, and at least 3-4 shifts a week.
Part time position is only available.
ServSafe food handler is required before starting work.
Ability to operate a POS system.
Must have a flexible schedule.
The store is open 7 days per week, morning, and evening hours; individuals may need to work nights, weekends, extended hours and/or holidays Punctuality, reliability and fulfilling your shifts completely are mandatory.
Maintain a positive, friendly, and outgoing attitude throughout the day.
A highly organized, energetic, team-oriented individual with a positive can -do attitude and a strong commitment to outstanding customer service.
Guest catering experience is preferred.

Must have a current Food Handler's card.
Strong mathematics skills; comfortable handling money and counting back change.
Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
Capable of standing 8 hours per day, carrying 15-20 lb.
